Here are the answers to some commonly asked questions about Isivivana Centre. If the answer to your question is not here, please get in touch.
A: If your booking request is sent through on a weekday, you will receive email confirmation within 24-hours. Booking inquiries that are sent on the weekend will be approved on Monday.
A: Payment is required to reflect in our bank account a minimum of 7 days before the event date.
A: The R1000 deposit is required to cover any possible loss or damage to the venue or equipment. If after inspection there is no loss or damage, the deposit will be refunded. If there is loss or damage the deposit will be used to cover the expenses. If there is a balance, it will be paid to the customer and if the deposit is insufficient to cover the loss, the customer will need to pay the difference.
A: Yes, we do offer catering for private events. Various affordable catering packages are offered by our in-house Café, which is managed by Bhiyozela Catering. Our Café is open on weekdays from 8:00 – 16:00. It is closed on weekends but remains operational if catering is required for a private event on the weekends.
A: Our Movie House is open to the public at no cost. Transport for movie patrons after the screenings is provided to central points in Khayelitsha.
A: Yes, provided the screening is age appropriate or the subject matter is suitable for that age.
A: Yes, the Library is free to use – you just need to fill out a membership form or visit the Library to apply for membership.

A: Adults/university students can visit the Library on weekdays from 09:00 – 14:00.
Scholars can visit the Library on weekdays from 14:00 – 17:00.
All members can visit on Saturdays (09:00 – 12:00).
A: Books can be kept for one week. Fines will be imposed for lost or damaged books or late returns.
A: No, the library does not offer printing or copying.
